Grand Senior Elder Master Han Yulin, also known as Han Enrong or Baishui Laoren, is revered as Bai-Shui Sheng-Di (Clear Water Saint). Born on March 22, 1901, amidst the turmoil of the Eight-Nation Alliance's occupation of Beijing, Han Yulin's early life was marked by guidance under his grandfather, instilling in him deep Confucian values of filial piety and duty.
Despite facing personal and national hardships, including the Japanese invasions and severe health challenges, Han Yulin's unwavering dedication to the Way (Tao) led him to profound spiritual transformation. After a miraculous recovery from tuberculosis, inspired by the teachings of Living Buddha Ji Gong, he devoted his life to spreading the Way.
As a transmitter of the Way, Han Yulin established the Tongxing Temple and played a pivotal role in spreading the faith in Taiwan, even amidst political and economic turmoil. His efforts in building orphanages, care homes, and educational foundations exemplify his commitment to benevolence and societal welfare.
Passing away on February 25, 1995, Han Yulin left an indelible legacy of spiritual leadership and compassionate service. Celebrated as a living Confucius, his teachings continue to inspire and guide future generations in the pursuit of the Way and the betterment of humanity.
